Since we released Spray Can 4.0 at the end of October 2011, the community gained more than 400,000 new members. This was reason enough to create an official video, which we want to introduce to you now:
We are happy and proud to announce the release of Spray Can 4! After four month of hard work, tweaking and testing the new version finally hits the Apple AppStore.
This Version is a complete redesign of the old concept, putting all user feedback together to bring you the best Spray Can experience. The app has been completely rewritten and modernized. We added a new user interface, OpenGL support, iPad support, push messages and much more.
As with all *.0 versions, we may have missed some bugs. Please report them to us via the feedback button in the app. We will try to resolve any issues as fast as possible. If you like the new version please let us know, too. Maybe you know something that would make Spray Can even better?

Get the Spray Can in the Apple AppStore for free!
Spray Can users may have noticed that a lot of pictures have been mysteriously removed from their galleries.
The good news first: we have been able to restore most of the deleted pictures. It took us some time to go trough the backups, but we managed to get most pictures back. Unfortunately some pictures are lost forever. We are very sorry for this and we have of course taken measures so this won’t happen again.
The reason for this was an oversight of our developer and testing team. With the introduction of the new gallery feature, where you could see the galleries from other users, it was possible to delete pictures of other users. This is now prevented by an update of our server software. Another update for the Spray Can app is on its way.
Again, we are very sorry for this.
As you may have noticed already, Spray Can Update 3.1 is now available for download from the Apple AppStore. We have listened to our fans and integrated a favorites gallery. You can now see all the tags you have liked at one place. We also integrated a time scopes feature, where you can see the best or most commented picture of the week, month or all time! This should give a lot more variety and new artists get a chance to become popular.
We have a lot of ideas on how to improve the Spray Can – please support this development by removing the ads. It’s only $ 1 that will help us to spend more time on this awesome app! You can find the button in the settings menu.

We received a lot of great graffitis – our fans are the best!
Now it’s time to decide who has made the best of them – this will be done by our community, of course. Check out the album at our facebook page and vote for your favorites by “liking” them. The picture with the most “likes” wins!
The voting will end on April 23rd – so tell your friends and don’t forget to become a fan on facebook.
The Spray Can team needs you!
We need an official screenshot for our Spray Can app. Unfortunately we are not as talented as our fans.
So we decided to start a competition to determine the best sprayer among our fans.
Here is the deal:
- paint a graffiti with the newest version of our Spray Can
- choose any motif, background or colour
- save the picture and send it to iphone@rapidrabbit.de
The best pictures will be presented here and at our facebook page.
Our fans will then vote for their favourite, which will become the official screenshot (included in the iTunes store).
Please send your graffitis until April, 9th.
We have listened to our fans again and released an update with new features. Some people had problems downloading the update – this was a problem of the AppStore. Try again now!
Here is a list of the new features:
- change the size of your spray jet
- you can now switch the outline on and off
- 2 new backgrounds added – a subway train and a concrete wall
You can access these new features by tapping the Spray Can icon while in paint-mode.
