We are happy to announce the release of appbzr 1.61 – please update your app on the AppStore.
This version mainly fixes the price drop pushes and the custom lists, but there are many little tweaks and changes under the hood as well. Detail views should load much faster now and we have fixed some problems with the daily reminder.
The development of appbzr has been a little slow in the last few months. We focused on other projects and the main developer has left the project, but we have found a more than adequate substitute. Since our appbzr users are very loyal, we will keep making updates for you.
By the way, please check out our newest project: AppFlux – maybe this will find it’s way into appbzr in the future.
Here is the full changelog:
We have just released update 2.0 of the Hot App Finder, enabling the long awaited iPad support!
You can now browse the hottest apps for iPhone and iPad on the big screen. We also improved the speed and stability further, to give you the best experience when looking for new and fun apps.
If you already own Hot App Finder, please check out the AppStore to get the latest version, otherwise click here: Hot App Finder 2.0
As many of you may have noticed already, update 1.60 has been released by Apple this weekend. The most obvious change are the ratings, that are now shown in the lists and detail views.
We also improved the background graphics, added an optical hint for the list slider and added more space between the icons of the home view.
Unfortunately Apple changed an important part of their Store API at the same weekend. They did not tell us of course. This lead to the Hot Lists not being available and the Top100 lists were broken, too. Thanks to our server developers, we could fix the Hot App feature (please say thanks to him, because he worked all night…). The Top 100 lists are working again, as I write this news.
You can read the full changelog in the settings of appbzr. If you have any issues, please let us know via the feedback button.
We are happy to announce that version 1.53 of our appbzr is now available. We were able to track down more crash bugs and the app should now run much smoother. We also listened to the complains about the appbzr reminder and changed it back to have it push at a certain time of the day (please check your settings). You can still turn it off completely of course.
If you have any issues, please send us an email with a detailed description. We are happy to help.
We are also still searching for beta testers that help us try out the new features we want to integrate in the next version.

Apple granted us an expedited review and appbzr 1.51 should now be available everywhere.
So far we have received reports that some people no longer have issues, while other problems remain. Today we finally found the reason why some people still have crashes: when you press one of the icons of the homescreen longer than two seconds, the app crashes. If you just tap and release, the app works fine. Apparently none of our testers have seen this issue.
Another update is on it’s way to fix this behavior.
Please don’t write bug reports into the AppStore reviews. We can’t answer them and we often need more information about an issue to find and fix it.
Regarding push messages:
With the new appbzr, we have introduced a new system for pushes – now you won’t be remembered to open the app when you have done this in the last 24 hours. However, we are thinking about making this an option.
Hello appbzr users,
we humbly apologize for the frequent crashes in the last version. It seems that many of the crashes occurred because of an old library, we missed to remove. We didn’t see the crashes in our beta tests because a new install seemed to solve the problems and we all had reinstalled the new version.
Nonetheless we are very sorry for this and we have used the weekend to track all issues that were reported to us. We asked Apple for a high priority update and if they grant it, the update should be available in 2 days (otherwise 7).
We hope to have removed all issues, but we can’t make sure in this short time. That’s why we want to ask you to help us with future updates. If you are a passionate appbzr user and want to help rapidrabbit develop its products, please take part in our beta tests by filling out this form:

If you are experiencing issues with missing lists and you are a german Vodafone user, please contact us: iphone@rapidrabbit.de. We finally managed to speak with them and we may be able to solve this issue.
After many months of work we finally released a new version of our appbzr. Why did it take us so long?
The whole app has been rewritten to make room for the features to come. It may not look much different, but the underlying code is now much easier to maintain for us, making it possible to add more features step by step. We also redesigned the server side of the appbzr – making it much faster and supporting some new features that we want to introduce within the next months. Rather than going for one big update we decided to go for many small updates, always checking for your feedback.
As always, you can get the Update via the AppStore.
If you experience any issues, please let us know in the comments or use the feedback option in the settings.
We have received numerous bug reports from users from all over the world that they don’t see any lists. The problem was first reported after we have just activated our new server. We couldn’t see any problem on our side – everything was working fine for us and the server logs looked good, but we kept receiving these reports.
After some days of guessing and searching, we finally got the the source of the problem. Thanks to our users we found out that everyone was using Vodafone as their internet provider. Our new server IP obviously was ignored by all Vodafone routers. This means that the request of the app never reached our server and the lists remained empty.
We have contacted Vodafone and now are waiting for an answer. We think we can solve the problem until the end of this week. If you have any problems, please let us know, as more data on this problem is always helpful.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by this and we are working hard to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
